What I'm doing each day to be shared 3x a week
It's 12:35 pm, I'm slightly thirsty and thinking about how much I have to do. I am always thinking of how much I have to do, but it never makes lying on furniture, draped in optimum posture, less appealing.
At least, I am listening to an audiobook, just forty minutes after abandoning an ebook I didn't find stimulating enough. It is not the book's fault– it is my mind. Hopping around an expanse of understimulation but refusing to commit to the physical labour that might help it move towards dopamine satisfaction.
Sleep schedules are also on my mind. Building the right sleeping schedule seems to be a never-ending task. As someone who detests how much of living is Sisyphean, this is not a pleasurable acceptance. I tell myself it just means I will have to nap more, but the last time I tried that, it took me forty-five minutes of my allotted 1 hour, 30 minutes nap time to fall asleep. I woke up quite painfully and am unsure I want to try that again.
Regardless, the journey to perfection however unrealistic continues.
These are my goals for the week:
Go outside at least 3 times
Complete the outline of my book redraft
Prepare for school a.k.a Revise and study
Draw something
Listen to an Islamic lecture
Exercise
Reading: Good Economics for Hard Times by Abhijit V. Banerjee and Esther Duflo
Just two chapters into this book. I am unsure why I added this to my TBR in the first place. However, the second chapter addresses migration, highlighting data amidst public opinion. I appreciate the accessible language and the evidence-based approach to breaking down the way we apply economic logic– like demand and supply– to daily anxieties.
Eating: Spaghetti. Plaintain.
Drinking: Zobo
Group chat doings: Career planning tonight.
Looking Forward To: Getting my 2026 planner ☺️
Loving and grateful for: Books, Dopamine bedding, washing machines and pink exercise mats.
